    We are currently looking for a Sr. Network Engineer & Systems Administrator to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users. In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to establish networks that cater to customer needs. 

    What you'll be doing

    • Designing and implementing functional network infrastructure and data center servers
    • Closely monitor all systems to ensure they are operating efficiently
    • Resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated
    • Mentoring team members and addressing user needs
    • The current network is an MPLS network with all CISCO equipment, switches, routers, firewalls, and CISCO call manager
    • Future plans are to move to SDWAN
    • Responsible for setting up servers and gateways to maintain server functionality
    • Promoting network security and confidentiality by developing network access, monitoring, control and evaluation.
    • Maintaining and recording applicable documentation related to network performance.
    • Installing, updating and integrating new server hardware and applicable applications.
    • Engaging in regular network troubleshooting activities and resolving network connectivity issues.
    • Recommend software or computer program purchases to preserve and maintain the status of Rogers technology requirements.
    • Implementation and monitoring of Windows Server farm, VMWare, Cisco network hardware and Cisco IOS, remote offices, and Microsoft Exchange servers.
    • Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
    • Monitor network performance and integrity
    • Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
    • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
    • Mentor team members on technical issues
    • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
    • Communicate with users when needed
    • Maintain complete technical documentation
    • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
    • 16 locations nationwide

    What we're looking for

    • 5+ years’ experience and solid background in network administration and System administration at an enterprise level
    • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
    • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
    • Strong knowledge with access control models and network security
    • Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl)
    • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
    • Solid understanding of network and operating systems
    • Sharp troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Organizational and mentoring skills
