    We are looking to add an HVAC Technician to our team.  Technicians are responsible for performing field activities associated with installing, maintaining, and servicing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems for commercial customers.  Technicians are responsible for timely response and completion (in one day whenever possible) of all assigned work orders and projects following industry standard best practices.  They must be aware of not to exceed (NTE) on work orders and immediately identify if work will exceed same and request approval from their Service Manager before proceeding.  They must start their day no later than 7:00 AM.  They must turn on, sync notepad, and review all dispatch assignments at the start and end of each work day.  They are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary materials, tools, and equipment to complete the work prior to arriving at the job site. They are responsible for using customer GPS/IVR system to log in and out of work orders.  They must provide a professional and neat appearance at all times, including truck, to ensure proper representation of the Rogers’ brand.  They must complete all required safety training and ensure compliance.

    Responsibilities

    Required Experience and Skills:

    • Able to perform on-site trouble shooting, routine repair, preventative maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
    • 5-10 years’ experience as a commercial HVAC Technician
    • Must hold state HVAC technician license
    • High School diploma or GED equivalent
    • Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school
    • Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants
    • Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
    • Ability to read blueprints
    • Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
    • Good computer skills including proficiency with MS Office
    • Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints
    • Able to work with minimum supervision
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex HVAC issues to customers
    • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects (up to 75 pounds)
    • Ability to ascend/descend ladders
    • Must hold state driver’s license
    • Possession of reliable transportation and basic hand tools
    • Maintain accurate inventory of all materials and equipment
    • Must be willing to travel, work nights, weekends and overtime
    • Periodically “on call” for service coverage
    • Complete pre-employment drug test and background check
